What to order at Orlando’s new fillet sandwich restaurant



A popular Pennsylvania restaurant chain opens its first Florida location in Orlando on Friday.

Nick Filet is located at 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd. in the area known as Restaurant Row, which draws tourists, locals, and business people from the surrounding theme parks.

The restaurant offers a delicious menu with:

  • Filet Mignon Sandwiches (signature or build your own)
  • Surf & Turf grilled cheese
  • Lobster rolls
  • Salads
  • Parmesan truffles all
  • Spiced fillet bites
  • Mac & cheese (lobster and fillet)

Tracy Barone, who will be running the Orlando site, and her family are originally from the Philadelphia area but moved to Florida when one of her daughters attended the University of Central Florida.

Tracy is excited to begin a new role and career path as a business owner.

“This was an opportunity we just couldn’t pass up. I believe in the unique Nick Filet brand and of course I love the amazing food – everything just went together,” said Tracy. “We’re excited to bring our hometown local favorite to our new Florida community. I have no doubt it’ll be a hit!”

Nick Filet is open 7 days a week from Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A second location in Orlando is also planned for the future.

Orlando has recently been the destination of many new notable restaurants.

White Castle recently opened for hour-long queues at its location near Walt Disney World. Portillo’s Chicago-style hot dog restaurant is preparing to open a location in The City Beautiful. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will be opening his first Orlando restaurant, Fish & Chips, on International Drive in August.
