The NBA G League kicks off the 2021 season in Orlando in February


ORLANDO, Fla. (WCTV) – The NBA G League, the NBA’s development league, has announced that its 2021 season will begin at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando in February.

The league says 17 of the league’s 28 teams and an 18th team, the G League Ignite, will participate this season.

The G League season is taking place in the same complex where the NBA restarted the 2019-20 season after a game interruption in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participating teams include the Lakeland Magic, members of the Orlando Magic. The College Park SkyHawks, the subsidiaries of the Atlanta Hawks, or the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the subsidiaries of the Miami Heat, are not eligible.
