Skanska is building the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Florida, USA, for approx. USD 64 million, approx. SEK 524 million


ÖSTERSUND, Sweden, January 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Skanska has signed an agreement with Orlando Health, Inc. to build the new Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Orlando Florida, UNITED STATES. The contract is worth about USD 64M, Over 524 million SEKwhich will be included in U.S. order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2020.

The new institute, with an area of ​​around 35,000 square meters, will include an eight-story hospital that will house 75 inpatient rooms and 10 operating theaters. An adjoining 6-story medical office building will have two floors with outpatient suites, which will also accommodate 12 operating theaters. The inpatient and outpatient facility is dedicated exclusively to the care of orthopedic patients.

The construction began November 2020Completion is planned for the second quarter of 2023.
