SeaWorld Orlando New Coaster, Food Festival, and Park Updates!

It’s been a little while since we’ve had a SeaWorld Orlando update, and a lot has happened since our last visit. There’s quite a bit to see today, including this year’s iteration of the Seven Seas Food Festival, plus updates to the park entrance, and a new ride! With all that to cover, I wouldn’t be surprised if we work up an appetite, so we should get started…

SeaWorld Orlando Park Updates

SeaWorld is in the process of sprucing up the park entrance. One of the projects includes the lighthouse near the entrance getting a fresh coat of paint.

Additionally, the photo op at the entrance also has a cool new look.

The familiar Orca has been removed and replaced with this underwater seascape.

We also noticed some improvements in the animal viewing areas. Instead of physical distancing spots, barriers have been added to ensure distancing in what has been crowded areas.

The Dolphin Nursery is also no longer walk up and is capacity controlled by an Ambassador.

What was once Mango Joe’s has received a new sign and a new name: Altitude Burgers. The avalanche-themed sign fits much better in the Wild Arctic area, especially with the new Ice Breaker attraction opening soon.

Seven Seas Food Festival

One of the highlights of the spring season at SeaWorld is always the Seven Seas Food Festival. The food fest kicked off a few weeks ago and runs exclusively on Friday-Sunday. This weekend was our first opportunity to take a look at this year’s version of the festival. And with 200 options to try, you’re sure to find something that appeals to your taste buds. Personally speaking, we found plenty!

There is a lot of new and different options this year. The Korean BBQ Lamb Ribs was so good, we went back for more.

There are plenty of drinks to sample as well. With both non-alcoholic options for the little ones and an amazing assortment of craft brews and cocktails for the adults, even the choosiest drinkers will have something refreshing to enjoy.

You can purchase sampling lanyards in 10 or 15 samplings. Pass Holders can get 18 samplings for the price of 15. The samplings are a decent size, sharing 5 samplings between 2 adults was filling.

Seven Seas Food Festival Concerts

Concerts have returned to the Seven Seas Food Festival with an option to reserve seating, for a fee. The concerts are limited seating. Some of the upcoming bands include Night Ranger, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Other concerts are featuring tribute artists in the Turnstiles (Billy Joel), Alter Eagles (The Eagles), and Jaded (Aerosmith) are just some of the performers.

Ice Breaker – New Coaster Coming Soon!

Ice Breaker is the first launch coaster at SeaWorld featuring four launches, both forward and backward, with the steepest beyond-vertical drop in Florida. If you’re a thrillseeker, you should definitely add this coaster to your must-do list.

Merchandise is already in stores. . .
