SeaWorld Orlando celebrates spring with new restaurants
Spring has begun at SeaWorld Orlando, and diners can now sample sweet and savory flavors in new restaurants.
In addition to the new restaurants, the lighthouse at the front of the park has a new mural. Photos by Matt Roseboom.
Arctic adventurers can discover new flavors at SeaWorld Orlando’s brand new burger bar, Altitude Burgers. At this restaurant, formerly known as Mango Joe’s, diners can build their own burger or grilled chicken sandwich, eat an artisanal pizza, drink draft beer, and fuel up for their next adventure.
Those who feel particularly brave can try to conquer the Altitude Burger: a pound of beef with bacon, homemade chilli, onion rings and a special sauce. If you want a vegetarian option, you can try the new Truffle Veggie Pizza. (They no longer offer impossible burgers.)
Altitude Burgers is now open next to the Wild Arctic and Glacier Bar and features open-air dining. It’s also right next to the entrance to the soon-to-be-open Ice Breaker roller coaster. You can find the full menu here.
Edy’s ice cream parlor
Cool off and satisfy your sweet tooth in the park’s brand new Edy’s Ice Cream Parlor, formerly known as the Polar Parlor Ice Cream Shop. Edy’s offers delicious treats like the peanut butter cookie dough shake, brownie sundae and hand-dipped ice cream cones. With over 13 typical flavors, guests can make their own sundae with different toppings. Guests 21 and older can add their favorite liquor or liquor to any of the milkshakes on the menu.
Edy’s ice cream shop is now open at the front of the park next to the Dolphin Nursery. Here you can view the entire menu.
The Lakeside Grill offers its guests a modern selection of Mediterranean cuisine at the former location of the spice mill. This dining area has been redesigned with modern, coastal-inspired indoor and outdoor areas. Guests can spot marine reef fish and live coral in an soon-to-be-unveiled, one-of-a-kind 600-gallon aquarium, in addition to Florida’s gorgeous sunsets on the outdoor deck (with physical distancing location).
The chef’s brand new menu includes:
- Fresh grilled kabobs from the region paired with vegetables, rice and tzatziki sauce
- Mediterranean dishes like falafel and fresh hummus and pita pairings
- Lakeside Mediterranean nachos, a twist on a theme park popular with tomatoes, feta and hummus
- Lakeside Mediterranean Burger, a turkey burger with a Mediterranean touch on a brioche bun
- Brand new parmesan garlic waffle fries paired with a variety of dipping sauces
The relatively new Glacier Bar (opened October 2020) is a great place to play sports in the shade on multiple large screens while sipping on some libations and having a few small bites. Located next to the Wild Arctic and across from Altitude Burgers, the spacious outdoor bar offers a 360-degree view of the park’s upcoming roller coaster, Ice Breaker.
