Portillo’s fans have waited patiently to indulge in Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, burgers and the famous chocolate cake in the restaurants.
The 7,800-square-foot restaurant will have two thoroughfares and two covered outdoor patios, officials said. The theme of the restaurant is that of a restaurant with “an ode to rock’n’roll with a ceiling installation for electric guitars”.
Prior to this announcement of the opening date, several major opening dates were postponed in the restaurant.
Portillo’s was scheduled to open for the first time on March 2nd, but that opening was postponed to March 23rd on the last day of February. Then, as March 23 approached, the restaurant pushed the date back indefinitely.
Before opening in June, the restaurant announced that it would fill all positions. To apply, visit portillos.com.
The Orlando location is the fast-casual chain’s first restaurant in central Florida and the third in Florida after Tampa and Brandon.
White Castle also recently opened in The Village in O-Town West.
