PHOTO REPORT: Universal Orlando Resort 6/8/21 (long lines for food, Jurassic Park merchandise, new Belgian Liège waffle cups in the KidZone and more)
It’s another busy day at Universal Orlando! The summer crowds are starting to come and the parks were very busy today. The wait times for attractions weren’t too bad, but the food lines get crazy.
As soon as restaurants start to open, the snakes start to grow. We have even seen guests waiting in line for the restaurants to open. Guests spend a lot of time waiting in line at the park for food, which spoils their experience. No fun waiting in those slow lines for terrible food.
The queues for Butterbeer are always long.
We jumped in a “short” line for burger digs in the morning and the team member informed us that it would take 30-45 minutes for a table and then another 10-20 minutes for the meal. That was pretty much accurate. Unfortunately, after all the wait, the burgers were awful.
This is the Casado Burger that we reviewed before. We could barely eat our burgers. They were so dry and cold. At that point, we were honestly too hungry to care.
This Jurassic Park chess game is available from the Dino Store for $ 60.
Jurassic Outfitters also has a couple of new merchandise items. The pink mug is $ 21 and the Camp Cretaceous notebook set is $ 14.95.
Somebody lost a shoe in Jurassic Park. Or maybe that’s all that’s left of them.
Could this be a reference to our old friend the osprey?
A little more progress around the Toon Lagoon. The area is being renovated a little.
It is impossible to get food in the park without having to wait a long time. Waiting times for rides are short, but the food and drink lines are out of control.
More lines. The mobile ordering process is not efficient. Guests would rather get food and go out and eat on the floor than wait 45 minutes for a table. Especially when the food is bad like our experience.
The lines are everywhere. Be patient, bring a snack or make a reservation.
The Hollywood or Bust food truck has been expanded to include a new menu with Belgian Liège waffle cups and cakes and ice cream. We have full reviews of these new goodies!
As everywhere, this car had a long line, but to our surprise everyone asked for cups of water or freestyle refills. There’s a freestyle machine next to the KidZone Pizza Company in case you’re at ET Adventure looking for supplies.
You didn’t say the magic word! Thank you for joining us at the Universal Orlando Resort today. We’ll be back soon so stay tuned for the Universal Parks News today.
