PHOTO REPORT: Universal Orlando Resort 5/4/21 (Camp Cretaceous Merchandise, If I Ran the Zoo Sign, VelociCoaster Passholder Previews Continue, and more)
It’s another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We arrived light and early, along with many other people!
The crowd that came into the parks through security was crazy after a Tuesday. The parks didn’t feel very crowded, but the security lines were full.
Mardi Gras is over and most of the food tents are gone, but the old Mardi Gras Trinidad / Tobago Food Truck has moved to a new location across from Fast and Furious Supercharged. The old Dippin ‘Dots stand at this location was recently converted into a hot dog stand, but the stand has been completely removed from the area. Let’s hope this food truck offers some extra food on busy days.
A retro, multipurpose headband with a Universal Studios Florida logo is available now for $ 14. We found it in a variety of locations including the Universal Studios store and the 5 & 10.
The purple and white striped awnings were recently removed from the Barney Shop in KidZone. We could hear things behind the curtains so we’ll just have to wait and see if this shop reopens as something else.
The VelociCoaster annual ticket holders preview runs on Islands of Adventure. More information about our experience with VelociCoaster can be found here.
Jurassic Park has had a lot of new merchandise lately and now there is a new Camp Cretaceous youth shirt. On the front it says “Best Trip Ever” along with some dinosaurs and the Jurassic World logo. You can find this at Jurassic Outfitters for $ 20.
There is also a Jurassic World Camp Cretaceaous keychain for $ 12.
In Seuss Landing, the flag at the entrance to the play area was added again to “When I walked the zoo”. This area recently reopened after a renovation but now the name is back on the sign.
Toon Lagoon has been getting some much-needed TLC lately. We noticed that several areas have been repaired lately.
