PHOTO REPORT: Universal Orlando Resort 5/15/21 (Updated Face Mask Policy, Hello Kitty Loungefly, Blue Churro, and More)
Welcome to another great day here at Universal Orlando Resort. Face coverage guidelines have been updated for the resort and guests are no longer required to wear face covers outdoors.
Signage has been updated throughout the resort to reflect the changes. Some guests still wore masks, others went without. Here you can get all the details and see more photos.
There are some new “Hello Kitty” Loungefly bags in the park. You can find these in the Hello Kitty Shop.
The Will Call line for Islands of Adventure stretched all the way to the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.
When we got to Islands of Adventure the park felt a lot crowded. Despite the large crowd, the parks were not fully occupied.
VelociCoaster was open again today. The torches at the entrance haven’t lit lately, but they were today.
Team members asked guests to complete a survey about their experience with VelociCoaster.
It’s nice to see guests enjoying the Jurassic Park Discovery Center.
We tried the new Blue Churro from Natural Selections, inspired by our favorite Velociraptor! Read our full report here.
A dinosaur helped take orders and return change at Pizza Predattoria.
If you’re on the wrong side of the ropes, you’d better stay very still.
The food lines were insane which is typical for a Saturday but it’s getting ridiculous. The waiting time for buying groceries is longer than for driving on busy days!
In Toon Lagoon, we found a temporary food place set up to help hungry crowds. We definitely need it today!
Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers has reopened after a brief renovation. The floor looks good.
We stopped again at the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride to see Conductor Bob on his last day. We will miss him!
The parks are always quiet in the morning, but it was very busy in the afternoon. The queues for groceries were long everywhere. This is our cue to get out of here!
That’s all for that visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thank you for following us today and look forward to more updates from Universal Parks around the world!
