Anyone who isn’t sure can join the event next week.

Orlando Salvation Army Captain Ken Chapman says it is important to make sure pets are not left out when it comes to fighting pandemics.

“So often the pets you know during natural disasters are forgotten. We are very excited to be working with this group to bring pet food to those who are struggling. “

Chapman says volunteers at the drive through event will pack residents’ cars with two weeks of free Regency Relief pet food for cats and dogs.

“We have both cat and dog food that are distributed, and it is enough for a pet for at least two weeks.”

Chapman says pet owners can also pick up a week’s worth of fresh produce and canned food provided by the USDA Farmers to Families program. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the manor’s parking lot.

No vaccines will be available locally next week.
