Oklahoma Americana Duo The Imaginaries play in Chickasha for Christmas in July

During that time, they worked diligently to book shows for a spring and summer tour to support their upcoming album release when the coronavirus pandemic caused them to cancel all scheduled shows. With all that is on hold, The Imaginaries have staged a number of live stream appearances, including their Facebook live concert series “Quarantunes,” the Rockwood Music Hall livestream concert series on Monday, Monday at the Hotel Café, as well Performances in Oklahoma for the City of Norman for their Stay Home Be Social Facebook live concert series, Norman NEXT for their Quarantiny Desk live Facebook concert series, and Stillwaters Gypsy Cafe Reimagined, a benefit concert for the Red Dirt Relief Fund that is broadcast on O’Colly TV was broadcast.

The Imaginaries album (TBD release date / pre-order HERE) was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, with the addition of legendary Muscle Shoals “Swamper” and bassist David Hood (Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Paul Simon) and session musicians longtime Little Richard guitarist Kelvin Holly (Jason Isbell, Gregg Allman, Neil Young), bassist Shonna Tucker (The Secret Sisters, Drive By Truckers, John Paul White) and keyboardist NC Thurman (Hank Williams Jr., Gregg Allman, Little Richard) .

They also flew with drummer Rob Humphreys (Jon Foreman, Leonard Cohen, Jason Mraz) for recording and worked with Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, Christina Perri, Ben Rector) here in Oklahoma for keys and additional production as well as keyboardist Dan Walker (heart).

The release dates for other upcoming singles and the album as well as other appearances will be announced shortly.
