Men convicted in 2019 of the murder of 8-year-old Orlando Anderson Jr.
KING WILLIAM COUNTY, Virginia – Two men were convicted of the murder of an 8-year-old boy in King William County in 2019.
Charles E. Coleman III and Keith E. Hargrove were both charged with first degree murder, the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, the armed burglary of an apartment with a gun, entry into a home, etc., murder, rape, robbery, or arson and commit malicious shots at an occupied apartment.
Coleman and Hargrove were arrested on June 19, 2020 after an investigation into the death of Orlando Anderson Jr., who was shot and killed in a King William County house on January 21, 2019.

On January 21, 2019, a shooting took place at a house on Block 100 on Robin Lane, King William County. It was reported that a male suspect entered the apartment and then started the shooting. Orlando was shot dead while filming and transported to the VCU medical center.
Orlando, affectionately known as “Scrappy”, later succumbed to his injuries.
Late on Friday evening, the jury recommended two life sentences plus 49 years for every man.
