Central Florida is a crowded market for chicken fast food chains. PDQ made its way over from Tampa. Chick-Fil-A and Zaxby’s both have a huge presence in the region. And there’s no shortage of excellent local places to get fried poultry.
These restaurants must have had a particular fondness for tenders in the region because they all get good business. And it seems like Baton Rouge-based chain Raising Cane’s is trying to join in.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that Cane’s, which already operate around 500 outposts in the US, are planning to move to the area. The publication advises that at least two locations in Kissimmee and Lake Nona are being considered. No lease has been signed and Cane’s has yet to comment publicly.
For the stranger, Canes Menu is something like a streamlined Zaxby’s. They sell chicken tenders, Texas toast, coleslaw, and drinks of various sizes. You can get more chicken tenders for a change. When you’re feeling really crazy, a bun can get in the way.
