Local group looking to regularly host outdoor markets in West Orlando


The Ox School of Construction Resource Center ((website) has filed with the City of Orlando to host a regular outdoor market on vacant lot in West Orlando.

The group is applying for a temporary use permit to enable a market with space for 20 vendors and two food trucks every Saturday 1006 W. Colonial Drive [GMap]. Vendors include artists, construction professionals, labor resources, educational and training resources, networking opportunities, and similar uses.

The project has a term of one year and expires in April 2022. It will be released for approval at the upcoming city commission meeting on April 12th.

The funds raised from the market would be used to support the organization’s nonprofit building trade school, which trains youth and military veterans in building work.
