The win against Usuthu increased Bucs’ chances of finishing second in the DStv Premiership 2020/21 season.
Zinnbauer said that in his pre-game conversation with the players, he emphasized the importance of winning the AmaZulu game for the fans.
“Before I start to explain, I have to say that AmaZulu has a good team and it was important for us that we get into the game quickly. The structure in defense and offense was very good. They worked for each other as well as possible and I think we were close to achieving a goal in the first half. In the second half in the first 10 minutes we had two good chances to score in my opinion, but the final pass or the finishing touches were not 100% correct, ”said the coach in the club’s media department.

“But what was important for us in this game was the result. I think we know we are now getting closer to the good places we want at the end of the season. Before the game, I said that performance wasn’t that important today. It was three days after the big game (against Raja) and the conditioning might have been down for some players after 60 or 70 minutes. That’s why I said to the players: go out and fight. Fight for these three points, fight for the fans, fight for the club and fight for yourself. ‘They did very well and I think we deserved to win the game,’ he said.
