Although Orlando City couldn’t put the last domino on the offensive at the start, there was still a lot to do for the 2021 Major League Soccer season.

It had chances, but Orlando couldn’t draw a 0-0 draw with Atlanta United at Exploria Stadium last Saturday. New signatory Alexandre Pato had his best chance that night when he scored a shot on goal after a cross from Chris Mueller. But Atlanta defender Anton Walkes blocked it and goalkeeper Brad Guzan grabbed the ball.

This week, Lions travel to Kansas City and traditionally one of the toughest places to play – Sporting Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Park. Alternately named “Blue Hell” and “The Cauldron”, it will be interesting to see if the Sporting KC home field will be just as tough with a peak capacity of 6,500.

Sporting KC got off to a great start with a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls. After a 1-0 away win, Sporting scored goals from Gadi Kinda and Daniel Salloi for the win in quick succession.
