  • The restaurant is located in ICON Park on International Drive
  • The restaurant will be Ramsay’s fish and chip concept

Spectrum News partner Orlando Business Journal was the first to cover the news of a Ramsay restaurant in central Florida.

Gordon Ramsay North America brings the chef’s fish and chip concept to ICON Park by International Drive. According to the OBJ report, the restaurant should be ready by May.

Although a Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips location for Orlando was not officially announced, Spectrum News found permits filed with Orange County that included diagrams labeled “Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips ICON Park” giving details of a restaurant . In a permit submitted in December, this description was given for the type of work to be carried out: “In addition to the placement of a new walk-in refrigerator and toilets, the interior was demolished with a new building in order to equip the tenant with the proposed fast-food leisure facility.”

Another permit, which was submitted earlier this month, stipulated that “interior and exterior renovations with additional space in the interior should be built”.

A diagram of what the layout of the restaurant might look like was also included in the permits. The picture shows that the restaurant has seating on the indoor and outdoor terrace. The document also shows the area where customers would queue to order their food.

Spectrum News reached out to ICON Park and the contractor listed on the project for comment but has received no response.

Gordon Ramsay runs several restaurants in the United States, most of them in Las Vegas. This town also has a Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips.

Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t be the first celebrity to open a restaurant in ICON Park. Country star Blake Shelton opened his southern-style restaurant, Ole Red, in the entertainment complex last year.
