Food Friday: Outdoor Cooking with Chef Ric Orlando


Ric Orland is joining us today to talk about outdoor cooking! Ray Graf from WAMC moderated.

After 25 years of backcountry cooking experience, Ric now owns the seasoning and condiment brand Ricter Scale, and Flavor Maker Spices are the exact condiments used in its award-winning New World restaurants, and Ricter Scale sauces are its special, unique mixes.

Ric’s Potato Latkes beat Bobby Flay on the Food Network, and he also won on Chopped – twice. At the World Food Championships 2013, his meatless aubergine “Meatballs” won the main prize for the Northeast region. He’s also appeared on the NBC TODAY show, PBS’s Simply Ming, Live From Darryl’s House on MTV, Home Matters on Discovery – the list goes on. Ric is also the author of We Want Clean Food.
