The hot Orlando chicken scene is heating up? Los Angeles-based chain Dave’s Hot Chicken has announced that it is expanding into Florida, starting here in Orlando.

His eponymous chain was founded in 2017 by Chef Dave Kopushyan as a pop-up parking lot and now has locations across California.

The take-away restaurant serves tenders, sandwiches and sliders in a range from “No Spice” to “Reaper”.

“It’s no secret that the hot chicken category is booming, but with the simplicity of the way we work, our passionate and experienced leadership team, dedicated fan base and delicious food, there really is no other concept like Dave’s Hot Chicken,” said Bill Phelps, Dave’s Hot Chicken CEO, in a press release. “Our brand is stronger than ever and we are ready to bring Dave’s Hot Chicken to Orlando with entrepreneurs who share our passion.”

As of this writing, no restaurant locations or time frames have been confirmed. How will Dave’s tariff hold up against more established Orlando restaurants like Chicken Fire? Only time can tell.
