And while they said many people are unwilling to seek or accept help, Burk, Kirwan, and Vail said that when they help someone get the resources, support, or medication they need, it is all worth it. They told stories of how they helped a man who had lived in the forest, did not eat properly, and who they helped to receive necessary medical and mental health care. And another case where they helped a family get their brother out of his bedroom, which he seldom left to get the help he needed.
